Xander's journey with wine began with a glass of Emeritus Russian River Pinot Noir — the wine that first made him fall in love with the world of wine. From there, his passion only grew.

Time spent working in steakhouses introduced him to the beautiful pairing of rich cuisine and bold Napa Valley Cabernets. Round Pond Estate’s offerings quickly became a favorite, especially alongside a perfectly cooked steak.

He finds joy in wines with a sense of place and purpose: Chateau La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a perennial “yes,” and La Spinetta Barbaresco from Piedmont shines as a personal star — a love reaffirmed during his recent certification through VinItaly and the Grappolo Wine School.

Spanish wines like Emilio Moro Tempranillo have earned a special place in his heart, and as the weather warms, he’s always reaching for chillable reds, crisp Sancerre, and beautifully balanced rosé.
